Last week, more than 100,000 professionals attended the Autodesk University’s 2020 conference (AU 2020), one of the largest technology conventions in the AECO industry. This year, the conference took place digitally in light of the COVID-19 pandemic between November 18th – 21st, 2020.
Andrew Anagnost, President and CEO of Autodesk, opened AU 2020, highlighting the transformation we have seen in the AECO industry just over the last year in his General Session Keynote. He reflected on how Autodesk Construction Cloud was announced last year at AU 2019 – as a truly connected construction experience. He briefly highlighted the three new unified products: Autodesk Build, Autodesk Quantify, and Autodesk Coordinate which are all built on Autodesk Docs.
Nicolas Mangon (Vice President AEC Strategy & Marketing at Autodesk) opened the AEC Keynote with words of inspiration. Like Andrew Anagnost, Nicolas stressed how much has changed. “We all know that in times of change, big innovations happen, and they can reshape entire industries.” He drew on some incredible examples this year of transformation and resilience, including how China assembled a 1,000-bed hospital in just 10 days, turning to Autodesk products to quickly complete construction.
For those who could not attend AU 2020, you can still watch the conference sessions on-demand. Click here and view the keynotes, construction sessions, inspiring documentaries, games, and more!
