BILT ANZ 2022: Catch the Next Wave

The BILT ANZ 2022 conference, the premier event for training and strategic thinking in BIM and Digital Engineering in the built environment, was held from November 24th to 26th, 2022, at the RACV Royal Pines Resort in Gold Coast, Australia. This year’s conference brought together attendees from across the globe, including architects, engineers, contractors, and facility managers, to learn about the latest trends and developments in the AECO industry.

Keynotes were delivered by industry leaders who shared their insights on the future of BIM and digital engineering. In addition to the keynote speeches, the conference featured a range of sessions and panel discussions covering a wide variety of topics, from BIM workflows and data management to digital twin technology and sustainable design.

Holger de Groot and Maciej Wypych were featured speakers at the conference, presenting their industry talks on Thursday, November 24th and Saturday, November 26th.

On the first day of the conference, Maciej discussed the challenges of locating models and provided methods for dealing with different coordinate systems used in construction.

Holger gave an update on the work done by buildingSMART. He spoke about their professional certification program for BIM Practitioners, which provides international validation for individuals who are highly skilled in digital ways of working.

On Saturday, Maciej focused on how automation opportunities can help project teams deliver a project on time and within budget and demonstrated live on stage how users can use Revit and connect the Autodesk Construction Cloud with SharePoint and Power Automate to increase productivity.
